After seeing a great first weekend at the Indian box office, the Hollywood movie Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness saw a drop in numbers on its first Monday. The Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer made Rs7.50 crore nett yesterday, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.
However, the figure isn't bad for a Monday. Also, the superhero film’s overall collection in India, which is Rs86.50 crore, is quite good. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has a chance of entering the Rs100 crore club in its first week itself.
Meanwhile, the Hindi version of director Prashanth Neel’s Kannada movie KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) performed well even on its fourth Monday, earning Rs2.50 crore. The Yash-starrer collected an impressive Rs17 crore in the first four days of its fourth week.

The previous instalment in the franchise, KGF: Chapter 1, was released to a good response in 2018.
The overall total of KGF: Chapter 2 in Hindi stands currently at a staggering Rs408.06 crore. The film recently dethroned Dangal (2016), which ended its box-office run with Rs373.63 crore nett, as the second highest-grossing film in Hindi.
