Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen next alongside Mrunal Thakur in a crime thriller, Gumraah. Interestingly, their characters will face off in the film, which is a remake of the Tamil hit Thadam (2019).
Thakur essays a cop in Gumraah while Kapur will be seen in a double role for the first time. The original film starred Arun Vijay, Vidya Pradeep, Tanya Hope and Smruthi Venkat.
Gumraah's second shooting schedule began in Mumbai today. Actor Ronit Roy will be joining the cast and crew soon. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
Gumraah is being directed by first-time filmmaker Vardhan Ketkar.
Kapur will also be seen in an espionage thriller, which is the Hindi remake of the hit British series The Night Manager (2016). The original series starred Tom Hiddleston as an undercover agent and Kapur will be stepping into his shoes. The actor’s action film Om: The Battle Within is due to be released on 1 July this year.
