On International Women's Day yesterday, Marathi filmmaker Kedar Shinde unveiled a new title poster for his upcoming woman-led film Baipan Bhaari Deva.
The filmmaker took to social media to share the new poster. "Get ready to experience an engaging tale of superwomen around us. Excited to announce our next, Baipan Bhaari Deva!" he wrote, in translation.
The tagline 'Only one day for her, then rest 364 days for whom?' instantly grabs attention. The tagline also suggests that the film will talk about recognizing women's work and giving them due credit.
The colourful poster shows a woman's hand making a popular rock-n-roll hand gesture.
Talking about the film, director Shinde said, "I always think that just one day is not enough to celebrate women. We need to acknowledge the work, participation, contribution and scope of women every day. I have made the film with this in mind. If you look at it today, the role of women in every field is huge. This is my artistic salute to their effort."
The film will tell the story of six female characters. The makers are yet to reveal the film's cast.
Baipan Bhaari Deva was initially scheduled to be released on 28 January 2022, but the makers opted to postpone the release in view of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Baipan Bhaari Deva is produced by Madhuri Bhosale, under her newly launched banner MVB Media. The film will be presented by Jio Studios. This will be Jio's second Marathi film after Me Vasantrao (2022).
