Well-known television actress Hruta Durgule’s maiden Marathi film Ananya was supposed to be released in July 2020 but this didn't happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is now finally set to arrive in theatres on 10 June.
Directed by Pratap Phad, the movie also stars Suvrat Joshi. It has been adapted from the acclaimed Marathi play of the same name written and directed by Phad himself. The play saw Rutuja Bagwe essay the titular role.
The makers have shared a new poster of the film on the occasion of Women’s Day. It shows Durgule smiling away despite struggling with life. Speaking about the film, the actress said in a statement, “The film gives a message that life is beautiful and it should be lived to the fullest. This movie is set to impart strength and positivity.”
Ananya has been produced by Dhruv Das, Ravi Jadhav and Sanjay Chhabria of Everest Entertainment.
Jadhav said, “We have shared the poster today on the occasion of Women’s Day. Through this poster, we are showing respect to every woman. Nothing is impossible for a woman. One must live every moment of life with happiness. One just needs to have a strong will.”
Chhabria added, “It is very important to have a positive outlook towards life. You will get the same message from Ananya. The film will prove to be inspirational for a lot of people.”
