Mammootty joins sets of Akhil Akkineni’s Agent; see poster

Malayalam superstar Mammootty joined the sets of Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming Telugu film Agent on Monday.

It is rumoured that Mammootty will play a veteran army man. In the poster, he can be seen posing with a gun in his hand.

Director Surender Reddy took to Twitter yesterday to welcome Mammootty to the sets and also unveil the poster. 

Last December, Akhil teased fans with his beefed-up look from Agent. Hailing his transformation, several fans in the comments section replied with fire emojis. 

In July, Akhil had shared a picture of himself, tweeting, “365 days back, I was challenged by Surender Reddy to transform myself mentally and physically. Sir, the fire you have ignited in me will burn furiously throughout this film. I promise you that (sic).”

Agent, which marks the maiden collaboration of Akhil and Surender Reddy, went on the floors last June. 

Akhil was last seen in the Telugu romantic comedy Most Eligible Bachelor (2021), which was directed by Bhaskaran Natarajan.
