Jaideep Ahlawat was a major reason for signing Bloody Brothers, says Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub

The two actors, who appeared together in a scene in Raees (2017), play siblings who are poles apart in the Zee5 thriller.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Jaideep Ahlawat had just one scene together in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees (2017). But they will be full-fledged co-stars for the first time in Shaad Ali’s Zee5 web-series Bloody Brothers.

Revealing the reason for signing on for the series, Ayyub said during the show’s press conference, “We have known each other for a long time. His coming on board was a major factor. The excitement increased thinking that I would get to work with him. I hadn’t quite got a chance to work with him before. We had just done one scene together in Raees. We have brotherly feelings. We address each other as ‘Bhai.’”

The show sees the two actors playing brothers Jaggi and Daljeet, who don’t have much in common. “Both are completely opposite personalities,” added Ayyub. “As much as Jaggi [Ahlawat] is confident, Daljeet is an introvert. He gets nervous in difficult situations. He has always been in the shadow of his elder brother. Jaggi is like a father figure to him. He is childish and that’s how he reacts in situations.”

Produced by Applause Entertainment, Bloody Brothers is the Hindi adaptation of BBC’s thriller Guilt. It also stars Satish Kaushik and Jitendra Joshi.
