Apharan (Season 2) trailer: Arunoday Singh heads a risky mission

Arunoday Singh’s Rudra Srivastava has always been problematic, but he’s definitely entertaining as he contemplates where he stands in the story of his life. Assigned by his superiors to carry out a clandestine abduction in a European country, he has a ragtag crew and little information to go by.

Once again, the police officer jumps right into the fire as he is mired with both personal and professional troubles. But his biggest problem might be the off-the-books mission he’s been entrusted to hunt down the mysterious mastermind criminal BBS (Bikram Bahadur Shah), which looks and feels dubious all around.

Rudra uncovers the unscrupulous world of corruption with fists, flair and a soundtrack of classic Hindi tracks. The cast includes Nidhi Singh, Snehil Dixit Mehra, Saanand Verma, Varun Badola and veteran actor Jeetendra in a special cameo.

In collaboration with Ekta Kapoor and Jio Studios, Apharan 2 has been written by Siddharth Sengupta, Umesh Padalkar and Anahata Menon.

The 11-episode thriller is due to be premiered on Voot Select on 18 March.
