Veteran artistes Paran Bandopadhyay and Lily Chakravorty will star in Arnab Middya’s upcoming anthology film Sedin Kuyasha Chilo.
The segment starring the duo features Jeetu Kamal, Abantika Biswas, Arna Mukhopadhyay and Debshankar Halder.
The film has been conceptualized as three parallel stories, set in different time frames, which merge at the end in a thrilling climax.
The senior artistes play the parents of a doctor, who lives in Kolkata with his wife. Bandopadhyay and Chakravorty lead a humble lifestyle in a remote village. Their daughter-in-law makes sure that her husband doesn’t keep much contact with his parents. However, a twist occurs when the elderly couple suddenly visits them in Kolkata.
“The film exposes the guilt people often live with in their day-to-day life. The characters eventually face the stark truth that they try to escape, which drive the three narratives ahead with a thrilling climax in the end," said Middya.
The director has completed the first shooting schedule of the film.
The story of a woman, who gets acquainted with a stranger for a night and their conversation takes a dramatic turn, revealing dark secrets of their life. The other story is based on the reunion of three friends.
Middya is yet to lock the dates with the cast for the other two narratives of his anthology film.
