CID actor Dayanand Shetty to make Marathi debut in Raj Paithankar's Garam Kitali


The film which also stars newcomers Aditya Paithankar and Shraddha. Mahajan, went on floors this week.

Dayanand Shetty, who is best known for his role as senior inspector Daya Singh in India's longest-running television police procedural CID, is now set to make his Marathi cinema debut in Raj Paithankar's upcoming film Garam Kitali.

The film, which stars newcomers Aditya Paithankar and Shraddha Mahajan, went on floors in Madh this week. The entire cast and crew were present for the muhurat which took place in Andheri in the presence of Deepak Nikalje, the producer of the gangster film Vaastav (1999).

The film also stars Kamlesh Sawant, Vijay Patkar, Anshuman Vichare, Vishakha Subhedar and Manisha Paithankar. 

Speaking about the film, Raj Paithankar, who has also written the script, said, "Garam Kitali will be a perfect entertainer for the audience. The film will entertain as well as give an important message. Everyone can relate to the film's story. Our entire team is working hard to give something different and unique to the audience". 

Yogesh Mahajan is shooting the film whereas composer duo Kiran-Raj will write music for the film.
