Amruta Khanvilkar is gearing up for the release of her musical Chandramukhi, where she will be seen playing the titular character. The makers revealed that she is the protagonist of the movie after building anticipation for a long time at a special event in Mumbai’s historic Royal Opera House earlier this month.
Khanvilkar is happy that the iconic duo Ajay-Atul is part of the project. The actress said in a statement, “I am a big fan of the music composed by Ajay-Atul sirs. I feel a strong emotional connection with them as I have worked with them earlier. They have always been around to bless me on every important milestone of my life and I could not be happier to reunite with them for Chandramukhi.”
A lavani number from the film ‘Chandra’ was released earlier in the week. Speaking about the film's music, she added, “I have listened to the music that they have composed for Chandramukhi and I can assure you that everyone is going to love it.”
During the event at Royal Opera House, Khanvilkar had said, “It was quite a task for me to keep it a secret for over two years, especially in this time when we are all active on social media all the time. But I would like to give the credit to our director, Prasad Oak. Our cast and crew managed to keep it a secret for two years. And finally today we are revealing it.”
Produced by Golden Ratio Films and Planet Marathi and also starring Addinath Kothare, Chandramukhi will be released in theatres on 29 April.
