Sachin Kundalkar's anticipated film Cobalt Blue, which is based on his own book of the same name, has been in the news since its announcement. The film, starring Prateik Babbar, Neelay Mehendale and Anjali Sivaraman, was completed during the first wave of the pandemic but it has been stuck in limbo for quite some time.

The film was scheduled to be premiered on 4 December on Netflix, but the streaming platform decided to postpone the release at the last minute for reasons unknown. Since then, there has been no news about the new release date.

Interestingly, even the film cast is clueless. Geetanjali Kulkarni, who plays the important supporting role of a mother in the film, said, "Honestly I wish I could tell you about it, but even we have no clear idea about when it's going to be released."

"Just the day before yesterday, we had called the producer Priya (Sreedharan) to find out what's exactly happening with the project, and she told us that they are also trying to sort out a few things with Netflix. Netflix has loved the film, and they are very eager to release it as soon as possible on their platform; at least that's what I have been told. I haven't seen it yet though, because I was not in Mumbai when they had arranged the screening for the cast and crew. I hope it's released soon".

Cobalt Blue tells astory of a brother ( Mehendale) and sister (Anjali), who fall for the same man (Babbar) and get their hearts broken.
