For the first time since the pandemic, Diljit Dosanjh will take to the stage with his Born To Shine tour in India.
The musical tour, co-sponsored by Saregama Live and realme, will begin on 9 April in Gurugram at Backyard Sports Club and will continue in Jalandhar at Lovely Professional University on 17 April. More venues are expected to be announced in the near future.
In a statement, Dosanjh shared, “All entertainers have waited for the chance to interact with their fans in a way that was not possible during the toughest months of the pandemic. I could not be happier to be back where I belong. On a stage, entertaining fans and soaking in their excitement give me immense happiness.”
The entertainer added, “Anybody who loves music has grown up with Saregama and its inexhaustible musical riches. And to have this label back my tour is like coming full circle.”
The actor-singer was last seen in the blockbuster Honsla Rakh (2021) and has the Punjabi films Shikra and Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne lined up for release this year.
Sonali Singh, Dosanjh’s manager, said, “The last show that we did was in Mumbai in 2020, before the lockdown. It has been more than two years since COVID that we are doing live concerts. Hence coming back to concerts after such a long break had to be big! We are pleased to partner with Saregama to make the show experience much more than just any other show. The intent is to give that experience to Diljit's fans. We truly hope to be able to deliver it as imagined and planned.”
