Harsh Mayar and I bonded like real brothers, says Gullak's Vaibhav Gupta

In a time when the whole OTT landscape is filled with violent crime dramas, the SonyLiv and TVF joint venture Gullak is a breath of fresh air. The series, whose third season is upcoming, tells the story of the simple Mishra family. 

Vaibhav Raj Gupta, who plays Anand 'Annu' Mishra, the elder son, said that he has formed a close bond with his on-screen brother Aman played by Harsh Mayar. Elaborating on his friendship with Harsh, he said, "I formed a relatively deep bond with Harsh. After a point, he became my younger brother in real life as well. We love pulling each other’s legs and getting into all kinds of mischief between shots. Our on-screen parents were irritated with our antics too. We had a blast.”

Gupta added that he loves stepping into his character’s shoes. “I immediately related to my character. It has been such a wonderful outing. The role was easy for me because I am the same way with my parents and brother back in my hometown," he said.

While talking about his experience of shooting for the latest season of Gullak, the actor said, “The coming season is very special to all of us because it had some moments that made us all emotional and closer to the show. I’m so excited for viewers to watch it because we are sure this season is going to hit.” 

Created by Shreyansh Pandey and directed by Palash Vaswani, the series also stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Sunita Rajwar.
