Actress Shweta Tripathi Sharma, who was recently seen in the Netflix web-series Yeh Kaali kaali Ankhein (2022), now heads Kashmir to kickstart her new project, Saaf.
The psychological thriller web-series is based on the Fox network's American crime drama The Cleaning Lady, which in turn was based on the 2017 Argentinian television series La Chica Que Limpia.
The web-series, which also stars Swastika Mukherjee, will be helmed by Bengali filmmaker Sudipto Roy and is being produced by OneLife Studios.
Saaf follows the aftermath of planned murders with a cleaning lady at the helm. Speaking about the intriguing project, Tripathi Sharma said, "As soon as I heard the premise of Saaf, I knew I had to be a part of it. It is about young women trying to push boundaries and conquer both worlds — personal and professional. It talks about how no one multi-tasks better than women as they are trained to compartmentalize and compromise, with a super exciting plotline.
"Saaf challenges society's stereotypes, allowing the entire team and me to explore more as artistes. I am sure it will connect instantly with the audience and resonate with them," she added.
Besides Saaf, the actress has a few more projects lined up, including Mirzapur (Season 3), Gone Game 2, Escaype Live, Kanjoos Makkhichoose and M For Mafia.
