The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr aka Ramzan Eid has become synonymous over the years with a Salman Khan release. Every year for more than a decade now, keenly awaited films of the actor have been released on this festive occasion.

But Eid this year will see Tiger Shroff coming up with his action thriller Heropanti 2 (2022), besides Ajay Devgn's Runway 34 (2022).

Speaking about the release of his film on Eid, Shroff said in a statement, “Heropanti 2 is my first ever Eid release, a period that has been synonymous with Salman sir because of his blockbuster film releases. I am aware that the shoes are too big to fill, but I’m glad that I got this opportunity to entertain the audience around a festive time like this.”

Shroff added, “It’s a huge responsibility, but the pressure is reduced when I see all the love that is coming my way. I feel grateful.”

Also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the villain, Heropanti 2, as the name suggests, is a sequel to Tiger Shroff's debut film Heropanti (2014). The first film was directed by Sabbir Khan, but the sequel has been helmed by Ahmed Khan, who had also directed Shroff in Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020). Interestingly, the first Baaghi (2016) was also directed by Sabbir Khan.

Heropanti had also marked the launch of Kriti Sanon opposite Shroff. But Heropanti 2 sees Tara Sutaria cast opposite the actor.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Heropanti 2 will be released in cinema halls on 29 April 2022.
