All eyes are on SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, which is finally being released in cinema halls on Friday after a seemingly interminable wait.
Made on a budget that is believed to be more than Rs300 crore, the film is riding high on expectation of delivering some big numbers at the box office.
With pre-prelease theatrical deals worth Rs520 crore, RRR will need to collect over Rs780 crore to be termed a blockbuster hit, analysts say.
According to the trade website AndhraBoxOffice.com, RRR's pre-release theatrical business has been computed at Rs520 crore from all languages.

The website added that to be termed a blockbuster hit, RRR would need to collect at least Rs780 crore nett during its theatrical run.
RRR was supposed to be released worldwide on 7 January, but the release was postponed due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. The film finally arrives in cinema halls worldwide on 25 March.
In RRR, NT Rama Rao, Jr, shares screen space with Ram Charan for the first time. The film is a fictional tale set in the pre-Independence era in the 1920s, but it is based on two real revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
The film, which will be released in a Hindi-dubbed version as well, features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani and Shriya Saran in important roles.
RRR is Rajamouli’s first full-length period film. Though his superhit film Magadheera (2009) had a period portion, close to half of the film was set in the modern age.
Like most of his films, RRR, too, seems to be a tale of revenge. In a promotional interview with Kabir Singh (2019) director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rajamouli had said that his films are mostly based on revenge because it’s the strongest emotion.
