The first trailer for the John Abraham-starrer Attack: Part 1 gave a glimpse of the actor’s character, Arjun, who gets scientifically upgraded to a ‘super-soldier’. He can now be used as a machine to combat a large number of baddies.
The second trailer for Lakshya Raj Anand’s directorial venture is more detailed. We are told that Arjun is the first human to go through this experiment. It helps him gauge a difficult situation better. He is helped by a virtual assistant, voiced by a woman, who guides his moves, keeps him company and advises him.
The trailer shows that the film deals with a terror attack on Parliament in New Delhi. Arjun and his team are assigned the mission of eliminating the terrorists who have infiltrated the high-security building.
Attack appears to be a new-age action flick. The action and fight sequences, the highlight of every film of this genre, appear impressive. The high point is when Arjun’s character deadpans “now play some music” before starting a fight sequence. The meta-reference to John when the words ‘Johnny just got upgraded’ appear on the screen is funny, too.
John fits the character perfectly, which is no surprise. It is refreshing to see him in this avatar after his disastrous previous outing, Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021). Jacqueline Fernandezdoesn’t get much screen time while Rakul Preet Singh is hardly there. Prakash Raj seems to be in good form.
Produced and distributed by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Movies, Attack: Part I will be released in theatres on 1 April. Check out the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch this film.
