The trailer of Tushar Jalota’s upcoming satire Dasvi will be out tomorrow. Ahead of its release, the makers have put out the posters of the film's three main characters, who are played by Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam.

Bachchan looks powerful as Ganga Ram Chaudhary. With his green turban and desi attire, he appears to be playing a politician. The tagline of his poster, 'To appear for the 10th standard examination from jail is my right to education' indicates that he is in jail for committing a crime but he still wants to complete his education.

Interestingly, Kaur plays Bachchan’s wife Bimmo, who is also the chief minister of a state. The tagline of her poster reads, 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely'. Going by this and her dejected expression, it seems she is in a mess after misusing power.

Yami will be seen in the role of a police officer with the tagline of her poster making it clear that she plays a tough cop.

Dasvi marks Jalota’s directorial debut. He was the assistant director on Tumsa Nahin Dekha (2004) and associate director on Judgementall Hai Kya (2019). He has also starred in Vishesh Films’ Showbiz (2007).

Dasvi will be streamed from 7 April on Netflix and Jio Cinema.
