Prabhas-starrer Adipurush to be released on 12 January 2023

The makers of Adipurush have announced that the Prabhas-starrer, which will also be released in 3D, will now be hitting the screens on 12 January 2023. 

After facing a delay due to the pandemic, the Om Raut-directed movie was to arrive in theatres on 11 August this year. But the makers agreed to postpone its release after actor-producer Aamir Khan, who decided to premiere his much-awaited Laal Singh Chaddha on that date, reached out to them.

Thanking the team of Adipurush, Aamir Khan Productions had said last month in a statement, “We would like to thank Mr Bhushan Kumar, T -Series and Om Raut and the entire team of Adipurush from the bottom of our hearts. We would like to thank them for being so helpful and understanding, and for shifting the release date of their much-awaited Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, so that Laal Singh Chaddha can come on 11 Aug 2022 (sic).” 

Also starring Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon, Adipurush is an adaptation of the great Indian epic Ramayana. Prabhas will be essaying the role of Lord Rama while Sanon will play Sita. Khan will portray the evil Ravana.
