Lalit Prabhakar and Sai Tamhankar's keenly awaited romantic drama Medium Spicy (2022) will finally arrive in theatres on 17 June.

The makers of the film, which also stars Parna Pethe, announced the release date with a new poster featuring the trio who seem to be simply enjoying one another's company.

Helmed by Mohit Takalkar, the film was earlier scheduled for release on 5 June 2020, but the makers had to postpone it on account of the countrywide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The film marks the first collaboration between Tamhankar and Prabhakar. Medium Spicy also stars Sagar Deshmukh, Neha Joshi, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and Arundhati Nag, who is returning to Marathi cinema after 40 years.

Medium Spicy, which has been doing the rounds of film festivals, including the recently concluded Pune International Film Festival, is a story of relationships, love and marriage in urban India.

It tells the tale of a single, middle-class guy, Nissim (Prabhakar), who works at a five-star hotel. He shares a unique bond with his boss and colleague who are radically different from each other.

Medium Spicy has been produced by Vidhi Kasliwal under her banner Landmarc Films.
