Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who was last seen as PR Man Singh in Kabir Khan’s 83 (2021), has clarified that he’s not part of Pawan Kalyan’s next film.
After several reports surfaced that Tripathi had been roped in for a key role in director Harish Shankar’s Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh, the actor had to release a statement to clarify that he’s not part of the project.
Tripathi’s statement read, “Reading the news of doing a film with Pawan Kalyan on social media made me really happy. I’m an admirer of his work. But as much as I want this news to be true, unfortunately, it’s not. But I do hope I get to work with him someday soon."
Pankaj had made his Telugu debut in the 2013 film Doosukeltha, in which he played the role of a minister. His last appearance in a South film was in Rajinikanth’s Kaala (2018), in which he played the role of a police inspector.
Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh marks the reunion of Harish Shankar and Pawan Kalyan after their blockbuster hit Gabbar Singh (2012). To be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the team is apparently in talks with Pooja Hegde to play the leading lady. It’s worth mentioning that Pooja had previously worked together with Harish in the film DJ Duvvada Jagannadham (2017), which starred Allu Arjun.
