The trailer of the upcoming Hoichoi series Tiktiki, which will mark the digital debut of director Dhrubo Banerjee, was launched at a press conference on 12 March. The 100th Hoichoi original will star Anirban Bhattacharya and Kaushik Ganguly, who will also appear for the first time in a web-series.

In the trailer, the actors are seen trying to one-up each other in a twisted mind game, involving crime and a struggle for survival. The filmmaker said at the launch, “It is an unparalleled moment for me to showcase the trailer of my first web directorial venture, Tiktiki, in such a grand manner in front of our media friends. I feel grateful to my entire team and Hoichoi for making this day so special.

“Right now, I am solely cherishing every moment that we have spent in creating Tiktiki. I hope audiences love the show and recognize the passion that has gone into making Tiktiki."

Bhattacharya is happy about not only getting to play a powerful character but also sharing screen space with Kaushik Ganguly. “Tiktiki is the kind of project that I feel will leave a mark in people’s minds. I am grateful to Dhrubo Banerjee for making Tiktiki and making me a part of it,” said the actor. “I will always have a special place for Hoichoi for bringing such unique content to our audience. I am looking forward to the audience reactions once the show gets released on Hoichoi.”

Excited at the trailer launch of his first-ever web series, the director-turned-actor, who plays the character of Soumendra Krishna Deb in the series, said, “It is an absolute delight for me to be marking my debut with something that is as grand as Tiktiki. I am thankful to Dhrubo Banerjee for Soumendra Krishna Deb and simply hope that I have done justice to the character.” Ganguly also expressed his gratitude to Bhattacharya for being an amazing co-actor. “I am immensely thankful to the entire team of Tiktiki and Hoichoi for making the journey of my first web-series memorable,” he said.

The trailer launch event also witnessed the launch of the Tiktiki Game, a game of chess where one can challenge either of the two lead characters of Tiktiki. If a user gets maximum kills amounting to 150 within 100 seconds, they stand a chance to win a coupon code offering a 25% discount on the annual Hoichoi subscription. The game is available on the Hoichoi app, in the menu section, and anyone can download and play the game.

Tiktiki will be streamed on Hoichoi from 18 March.
