Box office: Radhe Shyam producers claim film grossed Rs151 crore; Hindi version collects a meagre Rs14 crore


The multi-lingual Prabhas-starrer, which is set in Europe in the 1970s, garnered a mixed response from audiences and critics alike.

Prabhas’s period romantic drama Radhye Shyam, which opened to mixed reviews from all quarters, grossed Rs151 crore on its opening weekend, according to its makers, who have released a poster. However, the Hindi version of the Telugu film, which was also dubbed and released in Tamil, has collected a meagre Rs14 crore.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared the poster released by the makers on Twitter on Monday. 

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the multi-lingual love story is set in Europe in the 1970s with Prabhas essaying the role of a palmist. 

Shot extensively in Italy, Georgia and Hyderabad, Radhe Shyam was produced by UV Creations. Amitabh Bachchan turned narrator for the Hindi version of the movie while the Telugu version featured a voiceover by SS Rajamouli.
