Vishu teaser: Gashmeer Mahajani falls for Mrinmayee Godbole in this love story

Among the current crop of young male actors in Marathi cinema, Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Gashmeer Mahajani are at the forefront when it comes to playing romantic leads. The latter stars opposite Mrinmayee Godbole in Mayur Madhukar Shinde’s Vishu.

It is not possible to make out the film’s story from the teaser. The movie seems to be based around a group of youngsters, including Vishu (Mahajani) and Aarvi (Godbole).

We are then told that this is the story about Vishu falling in love with Aarvi. The guy completely believes in love at first sight but the girl prefers to get married first. But Vishu is sure they will be united. 

The brief  teaser contains too many scenes and dialogues. Hence, everything appears haphazard. 

Mahajani, as expected, is the right fit to play such a character. Godbole appears like a good choice for Aarvi. She was last seen in the super-hit Marathi movie Jhimma (2021). The supporting actors, excluding Vishu’s female friend, are passable. 

Produced by Babu Krishna Bhoir, Vishu will be released in theatres on 8 April.
