The trailer of Dhrubo Banerjee’s maiden Hoichoi series Tiktiki promises an edgy tale with performances by two acting powerhouses, Kaushik Ganguly and Anirban Bhattacharya.

One night, Milan Basak (Bhattacharya) arrives at the mansion of Soumendra Krishna Deb (Ganguly). The latter shows his guest his impressive antique collection and also offers Milan some artefacts. However, a twist takes place when Soumendra persuades Milan to marry his wife at gunpoint. As the trailer progresses it becomes evident that none of them trusts each other. Eventually, Soumendra appoints Milan to execute a crime, designed by himself.

Whether the two are locked in a game of survival or rivalry will be revealed in the series. However, it is clear that Tiktiki is a celebration of two deceptive characters, who face off. While they hardly elicit empathy at any point, the way the actors change their colours every now and then creates anticipation for an intriguing watch.

Tiktiki will be streamed on Hoichoi on 18 March.
