Sharman Joshi turns producer with Hindi-Gujarati movie

Actor Sharman Joshi has turned producer with his banner Sharman Joshi Productions. His first as-yet-untitled film, which will be released in Hindi and Gujarati, has gone on the floors.

The project stars Joshi himself along with Manasi Parekh and is being directed by Rehan Chaudhary. 

The actor-producer shared pictures from the first day of the shoot on Instagram. The first one sees him with Parekh and Chaudhary sitting for a mahurat puja before the start of the shoot. The rest of the pictures see the cast and crew inside a middle-class home. The film seems to be a family drama. 

Chaudhary has written and directed three Gujarati films to date – Armaan: Story Of A Storyteller (2017), Tu Chhe Ne! (2019) and Dhuandhaar (2021). This as-yet-untitled film will mark his first foray into Hindi cinema. 

Joshi was last seen in the Hindi movie Babloo Bachelor (2021). He has another bilingual film, Music School, in the works which also stars Shriya Saran. Directed by Paparao Biyyala, the film has been made in Hindi and Telugu and it features music by Illaiyaraja.
