Umran Ch Ki Rakheya song ‘Zubaan Pe’: A romantic number that celebrates lovers' joy


Poonam Dhillon and Raj Babbar come together in this Punjabi-language film about finding love in one’s sunset years.

Yesteryear stars Poonam Dhillon and Raj Babbar will be seen on the silver screen in the upcoming Punjabi film Umran Ch Ki Rakheya.

Directed by Simerjit Singh, the Chaupal original film will be released on 11 March on the OTT platform.

A song from the film ‘Zubaan Pe’ was released on the Chaupal YouTube channel. The slow romantic number is sung by Manna Mand who has also written the lyrics for the film. The music is by Gurmohh.  

In the song, we see the couple enjoying each other’s company, meeting for coffee, going out shopping in different romantic locales. Shot mostly in slow motion, the lyrics of the song emphasize the joy that the two take in each other's company. Through various instances, we see the happiness along with the awkward moments that the older couple shares, unsure of how to take their relationship forward. 

The film is a love story about a couple in their sunset years who fall in love with each other. Set in Chandigarh, the two are spending a quiet retired life when love blooms between them. 

Aside from his work in Hindi films, Babbar is well-known for starring in Punjabi films such as Marhi Da Deeva (1964), Chann Pardesi (1981) and Shaheed Uddham Singh (1999), among others. Dhillon was also seen in the 2014 Punjabi film Double Di Trouble, alongside veteran actor Dharmendra.
