The Aditya Roy Kapur- and Sanjana Sanghi-starrer Om: The Battle Within has finally got a release date. The action thriller will hit cinema screens on 1 July 2022.
The makers announced the release date along with a new, action-packed poster featuring a wounded Roy Kapur in a bulletproof jacket and determined avatar firing a minigun with all his might.
The poster makes it quite obvious that there will be a lot of action in the film.
Om: The Battle Within is now set to clash with R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022) which is also slated for release on 1 July.
The film marks the first time Roy Kapur and Sanghi have been cast in the lead. This is Sanjana's second film after Dil Bechara (2020), opposite the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
Om: The Battle Within is helmed by first-time director Karan Verma, son of well-known action director Tinu Verma. He has worked as a Steadicam operator on a number of films before.
The film went on the floors in December 2020 and was shot across three cities in India and abroad. The makers had also erected a set stretching for a kilometre at Mumbai's Film City to shoot some adrenaline-pumping sequences.
Om: The Battle Within is produced by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan and Shaira Khan.
