Kamal Haasan presents watch worth Rs47 lakh to Suriya for playing Rolex in Vikram

Actor Kamal Haasan’s latest release Vikram is having a dream run at the box office, minting over Rs200 crore. One of the major highlights of the movie is Suriya’s 10-minute cameo which has been received very well. Kamal on Wednesday gifted Suriya his Rolex watch worth Rs47 lakh for being part of the project. 

In the movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Suriya plays a character called Rolex, the head of a drug mafia. 

Suriya took to Twitter after meeting Kamal to thank him for gifting him the timepiece.

“A moment like this makes life beautiful! Thank you Anna for your Rolex (sic),” Suriya tweeted. 

On Tuesday, Kamal released a video in which he thanked audiences for making Vikram a huge hit. In the video, he specifically thanked Suriya for accepting a 10-minute cameo. 

Kamal gifted a Lexus to Lokesh for making Vikram a huge success on Tuesday. 

Sharing a picture of the car, the young filmmaker thanked the veteran actor for the gesture. 

The film, which was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, saw Kamal reprise the role he played in the 1986 film of the same name.
