Kuler Achaar, starring Vikram Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar, to be released in theatres on 13 July

Sudeep Das’s upcoming film Kuler Achaar, starring Madhumita Sarcar and Vikram Chatterjee, will be released in theatres on 13 July.

The release date was announced with a poster, featuring the lead actors as well as Indrani Haldar and Sujan Mukherjee.

Das’s film revolves around a woman (Sarcar), who refuses to change her maiden name after getting marriage. Her husband (Chatterjee), who has a liberal outlook, supports her decision.

Kuler Achaar features veteran actress Haldar as Sarcar’s mother-in-law, who has a strong influence on the young woman. Mukherjee will be seen as her father-in-law.

The poster, which resembles a family portrait, reveals the look of characters from two generations. While they look happy together, the words scribbled inside the speech bubbles make it evident that the mother and father-in-law have their own views on Sarcar’s decision to retaining her surname, Roy, instead of changing it to Sen.
