Box office: Kamal Haasan's Vikram enters Rs100 crore club

Kamal Haasan’s latest release Vikram (2022), which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya, is setting the cash registers on fire. The Lokesh Kanagaraj film entered the Rs100 crore club worldwide in two days since its release.
It has also become the third Rs100 crore grosser in Kamal Haasan’s career after Dasavatharam (2008) and Vishwaroopam (2013).
Vikram, which was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, sees Kamal reprise his role from the 1986 film of the same name.
Industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted on Sunday, “In 2 days, Vikram crosses the ₹100 Cr Mark at the WW Box Office. Phenomenal (sic).”

Vikram, which stars Suriya in a cameo, sets the stage for a franchise. Suriya could be playing the antagonist in Karthi’s Kaithi 2 and the next part in the Vikram franchise.
