Television actress Deepika Singh to make her film debut with Titu Ambani

The film, directed by Deepika Singh's husband Rohit Goyal, is slated for release on 8 July.

Actress Deepika Singh, who is still remembered for her character Sandhya from the show Diya Aur Baati, is set to make her Hindi film debut.

The film, titled Titu Ambani, is produced by Sabal Productions and directed by Deepika's husband Rohit Goyal. Actor Tushar Pandey, who was seen in films like Chhichhore (2019) and projects like Aashram (2020) on OTT, will be seen alongside the actress.

While Deepika Singh's character of Sandhya was a strong woman on the small screen, in Titu Ambani too, she will play a young woman who lives life on her own terms.

She said, “Moushmi's character is very close to my heart. She is a girl who has made some rules of her life and she cannot compromise with her principles."

At its core, the film is a love story of a middle-class couple and is touted to give a message albeit in an entertaining way. It has been shot largely in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and is slated for release on 8 July.
