Ek Villain Returns trailer: A suspenseful film about love and death

The 2014 thriller Ek Villain revolves around a serial killer (Riteish Deshmukh) who mostly killed women. The trailer of the sequel Ek Villain Returns recaps the plot of the first film and reveals that the story hasn’t ended.

There’s a new villain in town and he only targets women who had been the object of affection of men but did not requite their love. We’re then shown John Abraham and Disha Patani, whose characters are in love, and Arjun Kapoor and his love interest Tara Sutaria. Kapoor and John eventually face off and every character seems to possess a villainous instinct.

What we are dying to know is who is the bad guy and what are his motives? The well-cut and suspenseful trailer sucks you into the world of the film and makes you curious about its mysteries.

Ek Villain had brought an audience to the theatres largely because of its music and the makers have made a smart move by incorporating a new version of the song ‘Galliyan’ into the sequel.

One hopes this Mohit Suri thriller does better than its predecessor. The director and Aseem Arora have written the film’s screenplay. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series along with Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.

Ek Villain Returns will be released on 29 July.
