Music composer Dr Saleel Kulkarni, who turned filmmaker with Wedding Cha Shinema (2019), is now ready with his second directorial venture, Ekada Kaay Zala.
The film has an ensemble cast comprising Sumeet Raghvan, Urmila Kothare, Dr Mohan Agashe, Suhas Joshi and Pushkar Shrotri and child artiste Arjun Purnpatre and will arrive in cinemas on 5 August.
Sumeet Raghvan, who plays a father, has announced the release date and shared a new motion poster.
The poster not only introduces the ensemble cast but also shows various classic children's books such as fairy tales from Akbar-Birbal stories, the Panchatantra and Vikram-Vetaal tales as well as the more modern Harry Potter series. The motion poster also shows Raghvan reading one of the books to his son.
While not much has been revealed about the film's story, this motion poster gives a slight hint that it might be about the relationship between a father and his young son. As was the case with his previous directorial venture, Kulkarni is also the writer and music composer of the film.
Ekada Kaay Zala also marks singer-composer Siddharth Mahadevan's maiden venture into film production. The film is being presented by Pune Talkies and Hemant Gujarathi and produced by Gajavadan Productions' Arundhati Date, Anup Nimkar, Nitin Prakash Vaidya and Dr Salil Kulkarni as well as Siddharth Mahadevan, Saumil Shrungarpure, Sumendu Kuber and Siddharth Khinvasara of Showbox Entertainment.
