Amazon Prime Video has launched the trailer of the much-awaited Modern Love Hyderabad. This is the second Indian edition of the American rom-com anthology that is based on the New York Times column of the same name after Modern Love Mumbai, which was released earlier this year.

The anthology series features six stories helmed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Uday Gurrala, Devika Bahudhanam and Venkatesh Maha.

Kukunoor has directed three episodes. My Unlikely Pandemic Dream Partner, featuring seasoned actors Revathy and Nithya Menen, focuses on a young woman trying to along with an older woman. Fuzzy Purple and Full of Thorns, starring Aadhi Pinisetty and Ritu Varma, seems to be about a couple who has just moved in together and is trying to understand each other. His third segment — Why Did She Leave Me There…? with Suhasini Maniratnam and Naresh Agastya — looks like it explores abandonment issues faced by a man as a child.

Devika Bahudhanam's About That Rustle In The Bushes, starring Ulka Gupta and Naresh Vijaykrishnam is about an overprotective father who is concerned about finding the right suitor for his daughter. Uday Gurrala's What Clown Wrote This Script,  which features Abijeet Duddala and Malavika Nair, is about a couple who goes on a date.

Venkatesh Maha's Finding Your Penguin, starring Komalee Prasad, is about a single woman who is trying to find a suitable date. The trailer indicates that the anthology will explore various dimensions of love and relationships.

Produced by Elahe Hiptoola, The Modern Love Hyderabad is due to be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 8 July.
