Ek Villain Returns posters claim heroes don’t exist

The thriller, which stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, will be released on 29 July.

On 27 June 2014, Mohit Suri's Ek Villain was released. Exactly eight years later, the makers have revealed the first look of the film’s sequel, also helmed by the filmmaker and starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani, by unveiling posters of the film’s cast.

The actors are seen with the yellow mask that was made famous by the first film. The tagline on the posters reads, ‘In the world of villains, there are no heroes.’

Ek Villain, which starred Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh, crossed the Rs100 crore mark but it was the film’s music, including the tracks ‘Galliyan’ and ‘Banjaare Ko Ghar’, that won hearts and played a major role in bringing people to the cinema halls.

Deshmukh also won a lot of accolades for his performance in the film as the villain.

Ek Villain Returns is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ekta Kapoor. The film is set to be released on 29 July.
