Box office: Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is unstoppable even in its fifth week, Jugjugg Jeeyo has decent opening

Director Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to exceed expectations. The Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu-starrer continued to have a very good run even in its fifth week, making Rs7.25 crore nett, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The horror-comedy's grand total stands at a mammoth Rs179.73 crore. This is by far the highest grosser for Kartik and his second Rs100 crore movie after the romantic comedy Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018).

What is more surprising is that the theatrical run of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hasn’t slowed down even after the film was released on the over-the-top (OTT) platform Netflix a week ago. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the sequel to the 2007 psychological drama Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan and was directed by Priyadarshan.

Meanwhile, the Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor-starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo hit the theatres today. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the Raj Mehta directorial venture has had a decent opening, according to BoxOfficeIndia.com.
