Vikrant Rona trailer: A promising visual spectacle starring Kichcha Sudeep

Written and directed by Anup Bhandari, the fantasy action-adventure is set to be released on 28 July.

The trailer of Kichcha Sudeep's long-awaited fantasy action-adventure Vikrant Rona, which will be released in multiple languages, promises a huge visual spectacle that is best enjoyed on the big screen.

The stunning trailer packs a punch with its dark and mysterious setting. It begins with a female narrator introducing a strange land located beyond the mountains and amid a dense forest surrounded by the sea. The people of this land are in fear of some devil. Enter a dashing man with no fear — Vikrant Rona (Kichcha Sudeep). He is in search of a dead cop but as he goes delves deeper into the investigation he finds himself caught in some maze.

The trailer hits all the right notes, and I especially love how they are going for a serious tone instead of a lively and tongue-in-cheek one, which is the trend in modern adventure films across the world. This looks like a mix of the noir and fantasy genres, a rare combination. Apart from the stunning visuals, and excellent VFX work, another thing that is worth mentioning is how the trailer smartly keeps the plot vague.

Written and directed by Anup Bhandari, the film is produced by Shalini Jack Manju and Alankar Pandian under the Kichcha Creations, Shalini Arts and Invenio Films India banners.

Vikrant Rona, which was made in Kannada and will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, is set to be released on 28 July.
