Anjan Kanjilal's Sahobashe to be released in theatres on 22 July

Anjan Kanjilal’s upcoming film Sahobashe will be released in theatres on 22 July. The film was initially supposed to hit the screens on 30 April last year. However, due to the lockdown imposed during the second wave of pandemic, the release had to be stalled.

Sahobashe was premiered at the 26^th Kolkata International Film Festival in 2021.

Starring Anubhav Kanjilal and Ishaa Saha, the film revolves around two flatmates who fall in love with each other. The film also features Saayoni Ghosh, Rahul Banerjee, Debolina Dutta and Subhasish Mukherjee.

Primarily a love story, the film addresses the taboo associated with two partners of opposite genders sharing accommodation without getting married and also highlights the prejudice they face.

Saha was last seen in Arindam Sil’s Mahananda. Apart from Kanjilal’s film, she will be seen in Kolkata Chalontika, Kacher Manush and Ghore Pherar Gaan this year.
