Dear Molly trailer: A girl searches for her father in Sweden
Dear Molly tells the story of a young woman (Gurbani Gill) who travels to Sweden in search of her father (Alok Rajwade), who had left her when she was a little kid. During her search, she learns various things about her father that she was not aware of. The film sees Mrunmayee Godbole as the woman’s mother.
Speaking about the film, Ahire said in a statement, “This is a story about the relationship between a child and her father and a husband and his wife. The film has a moving tale. Each character has turned out to be the way I wanted. I would like to specially mention Alok and Mrunmayee because they have played characters that are much older than them. They have done complete justice to their characters. I got everything for the film the way I wanted and for that, my entire team had to put in a lot of hard work. In all this, I received good cooperation from the producers.”
He added, "The songs in the film are situational. As the film is shot in Sweden, it also features some Swedish culture."
Dear Molly was supposed to arrive in theatres in 2019 but it will be released on 1 July.
