Singer Chinmayi Sripaada blessed with twins, slams those who asked if she opted for surrogacy

Popular singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who became a voice to be reckoned with during the #MeToo movement, has been blessed with twins, a girl and a boy.

She took to Instagram to share the news with a first glimpse of her babies whom she has already named Driptah and Sharvas.

Chinmayi also slammed those who have been asking if she had her babies through surrogacy as she never posted pictures of herself being pregnant.

Sharing the news of her newborns, Chinmayi wrote on Instagram: “Driptah and Sharvas. The new and forever center of our universe (sic).”

Along with the post, she shared a glimpse of her babies. In two separate pics, the hands of the babies can be seen.

Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan commented on Chinmayi’s post. She wrote: “My HEARTTTTT! Just take it! GOD BLESSSSS (sic).”

Actor Sundeep Kishan replied with three heart emojis. 

In a separate post, Chinmayi responded to those who sent her messages asking if she had opted for surrogacy.

Her post read: “I’m absolutely loving these people who are DM-ing me asking if I had twins through a surrogate just because I didn’t post pictures of me being pregnant. Only those who were my innermost circle knew because I was protecting myself.”

She went on to add: “I was and will always be guarded about my personal life, my family, my friends circle. Photos of our kids won’t be on our socials either for a long while.”

Chinmayi said she actually sang a bhajan during her caesarean as her twins entered the world.
