From Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) to Jab We Met (2007), Hindi cinema has used trains as a backdrop for romance. Now, Amazon miniTV has announced a romantic series Ishq Express where we will see love blossoming between two young adults. The show will be premiered on June 23.
Ritvik Sahore and Gayatrii Bhhardwaj play two young adults, who meet while boarding a train to their hometown. During the 30-hour journey, the duo develops feelings for each other. But their actual journey begins when the train comes to a halt.
Girish Prabhu, head of Amazon Advertising, stated that Ishq Express will take audiences on a breezy romantic journey. "Every train journey is special, and this new series will have every viewer relive those special memories. Ishq Express promises to be a fun ride and we look forward to the reaction of our viewers,” he said.
Written and directed by Tanmai Rastogi and Saurabh George Swamy, Ishq Express is produced by Ahab Jafri (Tauzi) and Satish Raj Kasireddi of Lockdown Shorts Studio.
