Aaditi Pohankar talks about the emotionally draining She (Season 2)

In the latest season of Netflix’s She, Aaditi Pohankar’s character Bhumi has to take more risks and deal with more deceit as an undercover cop trying to take down a drug lord.

Bhumi has to make her way through desire, drive and duty and find within herself the strength to hope and wholeheartedly embrace her newfound sexual liberation.

Pohankar shared what goes on with Bhumika Pardeshi and her mind while stating why it was emotionally draining to play the character this time around. She said, “The second season will give a lot more context to Bhumika’s past. As an artiste I enjoy portraying challenging roles that allow me to experience a range of varying emotions.”

She added, “While shooting for Season 2, there were days when I have just gone to a corner and cried because I deeply empathized with what Bhumika was going through. There are many Bhumikas in this world. Her plight and pain will resonate with a lot of women.”

She (Season 2) also stars Kishore Kumar G, Vishwas Kini, Shivani Rangole, Sam Mohan and Suhita Thatte. Written and created by Imtiaz Ali, the series is directed by Arif Ali and produced by Viacom18 Studios’ Tipping Point and Window Seat Films. The new season is now streaming on Netflix.
