Box office: Jurassic World Dominion has a good first week in India

The Nushrratt Bharuccha-starrer Janhit Mein Jaari had a poor first weekend.

The much-anticipated Hollywood movie Jurassic World Dominion had a good first week at the box office in India.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the movie collected Rs48 crore nett in this period in the country, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

After collecting Rs35.50 crore on its extended first weekend, the film saw a major fall on its first Monday, earning only Rs3.75 crore. The film hovered around this number in the next two days and saw another drop on Thursday when it made Rs2.50 crore.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) had finished its first week in India with Rs52 crore. Nevertheless, Jurassic World Dominion has performed way better than some of the Hindi films that were released this year.

Janhit Mein Jaari, which stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, had a poor first week. Directed by first-time filmmaker Jai Basantu Singh, the film has managed to make only Rs3.25 crore. The film’s total is nowhere near its low budget of Rs15-20 crore.

According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, Nikamma, the new release of this week, had a low turnout in the first half of Friday.
