The satirical comedy Holy Cow, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanjay Mishra, will arrive in theatres on 26 August.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the release date and shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the film's set on Twitter on Wednesday.

Directed by Sai Kabir, the film traces the one-night adventure of Salim Ansari (Sanjay Mishra) who is trying to find his missing cow Ruksar. Siddiqui seems to be playing a cop who is tasked with solving this case. The film also stars critically acclaimed actor and filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Siddiqui was last seen in Ahmed Khan's Heropanti 2 (2022), where he played the antagonist to Tiger Shroff's character. The film was a massive box office failure. Meanwhile, Mishra's last outing on the big screen was in the blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).

Sai Kabir has written and directed films such as Kismat Konnection (2008), Revolver Rani (2013) and The Shaukeens (2014).

Holy Cow is backed by YT Entertainment and produced by Aaliya Siddiqui and Baljinder Khanna.
