Box office: Jurassic World Dominion has a good weekend, Janhit Mein Jaari performs poorly

The Colin Trevorrow-helmed Hollywood film has made about Rs35.6 crore in India.

Jurassic World Dominion, which saw an opening day collection of around Rs8 crore, minted Rs35.6 crore on the weekend, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com. The site has also taken into account paid previews, which were held on Thursday.

The last film in the franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), made around Rs100 crore nett. Unlike its predecessor, the latest instalment has been panned by critics.

The Nushrratt Bharuccha-starrer Janhit Mein Jaari made only Rs2 crore nett on the weekend. There wasn’t much buzz about the film. Having said that, the film did see a jump in the business on Saturday.

Now it will need to make as much on Monday as it did on Saturday to perform below average at the box office.

Janhit Mein Jaari review: A light-hearted comedy that turns preachy

Another dubbed film, the adventure comedy-drama 777 Charlie, starring Rakshit Shetty, was released but it hardly earned anything outside the Mumbai circuit.
