Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Sonali Kulkarni team up for Samit Kakkad’s Dharavi Bank

Suniel Shetty, Vivek Anand Oberoi and Sonali Kulkarni have teamed up for filmmaker Samit Kakkad’s upcoming crime drama titled Dharavi Bank, which will be streamed on MX Player. 

This is the second outing for the director on the platform after Indori Ishq (2021), which starred Ritvik Sahore and Vedika Bhandari. 

The makers have also released all three actors’ first looks from the show. It appears that Shetty plays a powerful character who has a lot of clout.

Oberoi is about to shoot someone with a gun and has an angry expression. He is seen wearing a khaki uniform with an orange jacket. Kulkarni is seen joining hands but she has a smile and a calm demeanour. It seems that she plays a woman from a respectable family. 

Dharavi, which is located in Mumbai, is one of the biggest slums in Asia.

Speaking about the OTT medium, Kakkad said last year in a statement, “There’s no storyteller in the country who is not charmed by digital platforms. One of my earlier films, Ascharyachakit, was a direct-to-digital release on Netflix when people were still warming up to the idea of watching content on platforms in India. As a filmmaker, I’ve honed the art of crafting stories in an edgy and realistic style — the emotions, the pain, the pleasures are all as real as it gets.”
