Prithviraj Sukumaran's Malayalam hit Kaduva to be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 4 August

The Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Kaduva will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video from 4 August. The streaming platform announced the exclusive digital premiere of the Malayalam blockbuster, which had a theatrical release on 7 July, today.

Directed by Shaji Kailas, the action drama also stars Vivek Oberoi and Samyuktha.

Set in 1990s, the action drama tells a story of an ego tussle between Kaduvakunnel Kuriachan (Prithviraj), a planter based in Pala, and politically favoured IG Joseph Chandy (Vivek Oberoi). The film revolves around the intense rivalry and subsequent events that take place because of it.

Produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen, the action drama had landed in controversy over certain dialogues against differently abled people, following which the director and Prithviraj tendered an apology.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj and Shaji Kailas have teamed up for yet another action drama titled Kappa. Currently the film's shoot is in progress and makers will soon announce the release date.
