It has been a breath of fresh air working with Masaba Gupta, says Barkha Singh

Masaba Masaba (Season 2) will continue exploring the lives of the daughter-mother duo of Masaba and Neena Gupta. The second season of the Netflix show will also feature Barkha Singh in a pivotal role as Ayesha. 

Through this show, Singh had the opportunity to interact a lot with Masaba. “I think Masaba is a warm and sweet person whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting off-screen to discuss other projects. It has been a breath of fresh air talking to her and working with her.”

Directed by Sonam Nair, the show is a semi-fictionalized account of the lives of Masaba and Neena Gupta. Masaba’s profession as a fashion designer and the issues she faces regularly forms an important part of the narrative. 

Singh added, “She has accomplished so much but she’s a very humble and grounded person. It felt so comfortable right from our first conversation and we clicked instantly.” 

Singh is known for acting in shows like MTV Girls On Top (2016), Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan (2018), Home Sweet Office (2019), Please Find Attached (2019) and Murder Meri Jaan (2021), among others. She will next be seen in The Great Weddings Of Munnes opposite Abhishek Banerjee.
