Neeru Bajwa's Beautiful Billo to be premiered on Zee5

Zee5 on Thursday announced its next direct-to-digital Punjabi movie, Beautiful Billo. Produced by Neeru Bajwa Entertainment, Omjee Star Studios and Sarin Productions, the movie stars actress Neeru Bajwa, Rubina Bajwa, Roshan Prince and Raghveet Boli. The comedy movie will be premiered on the platform on 11 August.

Directed by Santosh Subhash Thite and Amrit Raj Chadha, the comedy drama is set in the United Kingdom. The story deals with the emotional bond between a couple, played by Rubina Bajwa and Roshan Prince, and their tryst with a pregnant woman played by Neeru. The story unfolds when Neeru becomes the third wheel in the house and the families get involved. 

Commenting on the announcement, Manish Kalra, chief business officer, Zee5 India, said, “As India’s homegrown storyteller, we continue our efforts to keep the audience entertained with different narratives across languages. Our audience loves content that has relatable themes, identifiable characters, and strong storytelling. Beautiful Billo brings out a narrative that has the right mix of humour, wit and drama that our audience will love.”

An elated Neeru said Beautiful Billo narrates a heart-warming tale of human emotions with a twist of comedy that will surely strike a chord with the audience. "It is a story that will embark the audience on a never-seen-before journey. I am extremely elated to stream our movie with Zee5 ensuring wider in 190-plus countries,” she said.

Earlier in the day, the actress surprised her fans by announcing her 'pregnancy' on Instagram, writing, “Am so excited thohade naal eh news share kar rahi ah!! Surprise everyone”. In her post, she wrote that with God’s grace, “I am about to be a mom again”, asking her fans to stay tuned for further news and inviting them to share this joy with her. The announcement of Beautiful Billo followed soon after.

Her film Kokka (2022) starring Gurnam Bhullar was recently released and her upcoming films include Laung Laachi 2 starring Ammy Virk and Amberdeep Singh and Chal Jindiye, starring Kulwinder Billa and Gurpreet Ghuggi, amongst others.
